The Harmony natural rubber yoga mat is the FINEST yoga mat made. Made in the USA of open cell, natural dry rubber naturally harvested from rubber trees, its material does not include the latex component from the tree sap (minor amounts of latex can find its way into the rubber but usually not detectible.) This mat is terrific. It provides lots of comfort for my knees. Smelled like rubber the first few weeks and then disappated.

The yoga studio I go to has these everywhere. I read many reviews, most good, and decided to get one. I think anyone who would wear this mat out has to be a serious yogi practicing 2x/day every day for months on end. I'd disregard those reviews if you're a normal 3x/week yogi like me who just needs to relieve some stress. The thickness of this mat is the best. I have strange shaped feet (hammer toes and obligue arch). So the extra padding is nice for the balls of my feet which tend to hurt when they're on harder surfaces. I would say that the extra cushioning does add a challenge to balancing poses. But you'll get used to that - it will only improve your balance over-all.
I'd say the only thing, because it has better traction than most mats, is that it gets dirty easier. My mat doesn't go in my house at all and somehow dog and cat hairs find thier way onto it easily. This isn't a huge deal and it's a good thing to wipe this mat with cloth wipe after every other practice. You can also machine wash it, but be prepared for at least 4 days to dry - it's very porous material - surprisingly.
Although expensive, this mat is an excellent choice. I still need a small towel to keep me from slipping in down-dog (sweaty hands). For most poses, the mat just will not slip.

This is a very nice mat. Perhaps a bit thick for yoga though, almost a pilates mat. Some balance postures are harder when attempting on such a thick mat.
It has a non-skid surface that I found much tackier than some other expensive mats especially when perspiration is present.
The size and weight are great. I am a taller person and enjoy this longer mat.

This mat is excellent for my regular yoga practice. The mat is a bit slippery when breaking it in but became less slippery over time. I like the extra thickness in this mat and will be using it for a long time to come.

The Jade Fusion mat is outstanding for my yoga practice on an uneven tile floor. It's extra thickness provides excellent protection for my joints against the hard tile, and has a comfortable 'sticky' surface for great stability. The extra length (74") is really helpful.
